(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew and Upper Ottawa Valley Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after a traffic stop on Highway 17 near Calabogie Road.

On March 26, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Renfrew OPP completed a traffic stop on Highway 17.

As a result of the investigation, Geoffrey Christopher BARSALO, age 45 of Bonnechere Valley Township, was charged with:

· Possession of a schedule I substance

· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

· Failure to comply with release order- other than to attend court, seven counts

The accused was held for bail.
