(BRANT COUNTY, ON) An alert from the in-car camera has led to an arrest and multiple charges for the driver.
On April 15, 2025, at approximately 7:55 p.m., a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on general patrol received an alert on the Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system for a possible stolen vehicle plate. A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle on Cockshutt Road in the County of Brant.
As a result, Michael MUNDAY, a 37-year-old of Norwich Township, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
Possession of stolen property
Operate a motor vehicle while prohibited
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
Possess prohibited weapon while prohibited x4
Fail to comply with probation
The accused was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice then released from police custody with a further court date to appear on May 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. to speak to the charges.
