(PEMBROKE, ON) A resident of Port Dover, Ontario is facing an impaired driving charge after an impaired driving investigation in the City of Pembroke.
On April 16, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m. members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke. As part of the investigation a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) was conducted, and further testing was conducted by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer at the detachment.
As a result of this investigation 24-year-old Jayde SLEZSAK has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offence:
· Operation while impaired drugs
The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 5, 2025.
