(LEAMINGTON, ON) One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint in Leamington.
On April 16, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Highway #77 in the Town of Leamington.
Diego AVILA MARTINEZ, 26-years-old of Kingsville, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
A 90-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Windsor on May 6, 2025, to speak to the charges.
