(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) One person has died following a drowning incident that occurred on the Saugeen River in Paisley.
On May 12, 2025, at 1:31 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Bruce County Paramedic Services and the Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services responded to a report of an individual in distress in the Saugeen River.
The individual was brought to the shore by members of the public and lifesaving measures commenced.
A 25-year-old from Georgetown was pronounced deceased. The victims identity will not be released due to privacy of the family.
