(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township resident with four provincial offences stemming from a traffic stop.
On July 7, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, which resulted in a traffic stop being initiated on Concession Road 11, within Wellington North Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 63-year-old from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township is charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
Driving while under suspension
Driver fail to properly wear seat belt
Use plate not authorized for vehicle
