(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) A Mount Forest resident has been charged with impaired driving after being found asleep at the wheel.
On October 11, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned member of the public, reporting an unresponsive driver in a vehicle parked in a live lane on Main Street in Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, Lawrence CALDER, a 21-year-old from Mount Forest, was charged under the Criminal Code with:
Operation while Impaired alcohol and drugs
Operation while Impaired blood and alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Guelph on October 21, 2025.
