(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS TOWNSHIP, ON) The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver in an impaired driving related investigation.
On November 12, 2025, just after 10:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint on County Road 41 near Kaladar, followed by a second traffic complaint on County Road 4 in Loyalist Township. A short time later officers located the vehicle and driver at an address in Loyalist Township. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
As a result, Joshua HOWES, age 43, of Loyalist Township was charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
