(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) On Monday, March 2, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Northeast Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the South Porcupine Detachment, concluded a drug trafficking investigation under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
Police seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $200,000. Police also seized suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia. All items seized have a combined estimated street value of $230,000.
As a result, Paula WESLEY, 38 years of age from Moosonee, was arrested and charged with the following CDSA and Criminal Code (CC) offences:
Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
The accused is being held in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.
