(NORTH HURON, ON) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron-Kinloss Township resident with impaired driving offences following a traffic complaint on January 28, 2026, in the Township of North Huron.
Just after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Huron County OPP officers received a complaint about a possible impaired driver that entered a ditch with their vehicle. Police located the vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.
Joseph SCHRAM, 39 years-of-age from Huron-Kinloss Twp, has been charged with:
Operation while Impaired Alcohol and Drugs,
Operation while Impaired Over 80,
Dangerous Operation.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused drivers license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice Goderich on March 09, 2026.
