Region of Peel Frontline officers from 12 Division located a loaded firearm and have arrested four individuals following a traffic stop in Mississauga.
On Friday, March 6 at approximately 7 p.m., officers investigated a vehicle in the area of Mid-Way Boulevard and Dixie Road. During the investigation, officers observed the occupants to be in violations of the Cannabis Control Act and Controlled Drug and Substance Act.
During the search of one of the accused, a loaded illegal handgun and a magazine containing ammunition were located.
As a result, the following individuals were arrested and charged:
Iheem Mitchell, a 19-year-old man from Brampton

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a young person; therefore, the identities of three individuals charged in this investigation are protected.
